All Delron wants is to live his life with Phillipe, but when their love lock is stolen from Pont des Art, their relationship is in jeopardy. Without the lock holding them together, Delron is convinced they’ll crash and burn. The only way he can save their relationship is to find the stolen lock, and that is just what he plans to do, no matter what.
Phillipe loves Delron, he really does, but it’s driving him insane that Delron can’t see that a padlock is simply a piece of metal. The lock has nothing to do with them, not really. Up until the night the lock was stolen, their life was great, but Del’s crazy behaviour has Phillipe wondering if he has ever really known his boyfriend.
Delron’s search leads him through art-filled Paris, but will a symbol of love ever be enough to soothe the mistrust his quest has planted in Phillipe? Phillipe always thought he’d spend the rest of his life with Del, but who can live with anyone willing to break the law just to find a padlock when they can buy a new one in just about any shop?

He Melted Us edition by Ofelia Gränd Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Delron and Phillippe are in a committed relationship when Delron loses it after learning that their lock was stolen from the Pont des Art. The lock was supposed to be a symbol of their love, and so without it they are doomed (in Delron's mind anyway). Del decides to go to extreme lengths to try to get it back and puts their relationship to the test...
I enjoyed reading this story. Delron gets up to some crazy antics, which was fun to read about. It was painful reading about the miscommunication (or lack of communication), particularly because I could see how easy it was for it to happen. Let this story be a lesson on speaking your mind and making sure your partner is aware of your feelings!

Firstly, Delron is one delusional cat. The length he went to search for that damn lock. I have no clue why he couldn't just plainly explain why that lock was so important. This is lesson of why you shouldn't base you relationship on inanimate object. Phillip was wrong for making assumption and not communicating with his partner.
This story was funny but annoying as hell. This relationship was doom the minute they really stop communicating with each other. Serious miscommunication ended their relationship. You guys have been together for how long? and still don't know how to properly communicate with each other. You don't end long time relationship with no explanation/closure. They still didn't communicate in the end.
Overall, this was not one of my favorite but still believe this author knows how to properly write shorts then any author I know. But this one could have benefitted with few extra pages.

3.5 stars
Delron at first seemed foolish to me. He thought his relationship was over and someone stole his happiness because the padlock that symbolized their commitment to each other was one of the 2000 stolen. Readers could get a sense of how insecure he was. He was a sentimentalist and I never did suffer them very well.
Phillipe on the other was more calm about the matter. It almost seem callous of him since he didn't see the lock as Delron did. He had no attachment to the lock, he believed that they were secure in their feelings toward each other. But Delron behavior starts to worry Phillipe. In the process, Phillipe starts believing he's not enough for Delron.
There was a lot of frustration toward Delron for me. His single-mindedness concerning the lock was disturbing and he should have listened to Phillipe. He was selfish and it showed in his action.I didn't enjoy the ending since their issues weren't exactly solved. They barely talked. I expected some psychology to be involved and this fell a little short for me.

I am kind of at a loss as to what to say about this one. The writing was good. I think I needed it to be longer though. I couldn't find it in myself to care about the couple, when they seemed to not like each other, and their relationship fell apart in 2.5 seconds over the dumbest things, that could've been avoided had they bothered to have an actual conversation. I just don't believe they'd still be invested in each other after 5 years, believing what they did about how the other behaved. The obsession with the lock was over the top, I think it's ridiculous so I was with Phil on that, but it really wasn't any worse than anything Phil did. This is why I say I wish it had been longer, had I had a chance to see them in a GOOD relationship, I would've cared that it collapsed. I would've been invested in them reuniting after being torn apart. But all that said, this was not a chore to read and it wasn't SO horrible that I hated it. There was enough to the characters that they were interesting. I just wish for something more.
I enjoy this story so much. It had very much humorous elements, but what got my attention, was the opposite, some feeling of sadness around the story because of, how easily, things can change.
The conduct of both characters made me so angry at times because of their unwillingness to , at least try, to see the things the way the other one was seeing it.
It was hard to see Delron's insecurity about his relationship, full of interpretations and to see how easily he could relied on a symbol, putting more effort on trying to get it back, that on his actual relationship.
Phillipe, who seem to be more rational, was a little more enraging to me, because he knew the way Delron thought and fail to be understanding. I get that Del was really frustrating, but i felt like he had a bad attitude and wasn't willing to try.
It was very interesting to see the interaction between them. It was a very entertaining story, somehow funny.
One of the things i liked the most about it was that, being so short as it was, i really got to know and care for the both main characters, and their were able to transmit their emotion, that always make a great reading, i loved this one.
I think anyone would enjoy to read this book, it was great.
